Born Chaiyabun Suddhipol on 22 April 1944, Luang Por Dhammajayo is one of the most widely recognized Buddhist monks in Thailand and across the world. As the former abbot and honorary abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, he has devoted his life to spreading the practice of Dhammakaya meditation — a profound method of inner stillness and self-discovery.

A key disciple of the revered Chandra Khonnokyoong, his approach uniquely blends deep meditation practice, modern ethics, and expansive social and spiritual development — creating a bridge between ancient Buddhist wisdom and the needs of contemporary life.
